Age of Conan Rabbit Snare Exploit

There is a quest in Ymirs Pass that you get a rabbit snare when you accept the quest. The snare will spawn as a pet, so you can buff it, heal it, etc. You can spawn many of these and with friends grouped up, you can spawn even more. Have a TOS in the group use the buff for electric damage. If you and your group have spawned a ton of snares you can think of plenty of things to do I am sure.

ToS Exploit!, Massive AOE damage, Take out bosses easy!

You Must be 50+ to get the quest, and 60 to have the spec required to use it fully.

Ok theirs a quest giver in ymirs pass named Daolric(or something close), he gives a quest to catch a rabbit, and gives you a rabbit trap. The trap spawns basically a pet which acts as a player, it responds to storm crown ability and many others. You can spawn unlimited amounts.

Dont finish the quest, just keep the trap, at 60 you can spec into TloS, or triumphant life of set, in the Thunder tree, which heals all team mates and ads pulsing AOE damage for each it heals. Spawn a ###### load of the traps, and do it up with the abilities mentioned and you can easily level, and put out so much xp that it is possible to solo some instance bosses(I was able to solo most of the Sewers under Tarantia, netting me some great items and amazing xp)

Unfortunately it only works for ToS, but if you group with a buddy, perhaps even another healer, you can level friends and yourself very quickly.

Age of Conan leveling guide: Tortage 1-20

For the first month of AoC I've been going through testing the different classes, finding which one suits me. So needless to say I've gone thru Tortage many many times. For those who want a leg up, or just want to level quickly, I hope this info helps out some. Just for reference I've gone from 1-10 in a little over an hour, level 15 in under 4 hours, and made it out of Tortage in about 8 hours at level 20 (still needing to do a few Tortage quests.)

Okay so you've started a new character. First part is basic, go through killing everything on your way to rescue and subsequently take Casilda to the gate leading to Tortage. Once you hit the gate you should be about 3/4 thru level 5 (give or take a bit).
After going thru the gate, head down the path and hang a left, there's a group of 3 panthers here. Kill them a few times until you hit level 6. At this point Turach the Blacksmith will have a quest available, which is why I grind on the panthers til 6. Go talk to Laranga, the gate guard, who will not only send you to Turach for your shackles, but will also have 2 other quests available. Grab them, talk to Turach about your shackles, and get the quest from him to retrieve his ore shipment.
Go get the 3 stones he needs, remove your shackles, and head into the city. At that point grab the quests in the area -- should be one to get tools, one to get thread, and one to kill pirates. Now head over and talk to Sancha to get a quest from her to kill 3 pirates right behind her.. erm.. business Kill them, turn it in, head towards the docks.
Grab quests there, get the tools, head to Redrik's ship and get the ore. From there head back to Turach, turning in the tools quest on the way. Turn in Turach's quest and get the sword and key reward, then head over to where you got teh stones, up the long stairs and get the spools of thread.

Now at this point, check your xp. You should be getting close to 7. What you want is to be around 300xp from level. If you need to grind on a few mobs to get to that point do it.. pirates respawn fairly fast there, or go for the panthers.. better xp from them but only 3 to kill at a time. Once your at that 300 xp from level mark, go turn in the Spools of Thread. This nets 330 xp, and will hit 7.

Okay, now do your Level 5 Destiny quest. Rogue classes are a bit limited here since they don't get many mobs to attack, but I think they may get more xp than the other archtypes, who all have to go to White Sands Isle. At any rate, if your heading to White Sands, wipe out the entire island (don't worry you can't cover the ENTIRE island, only the beginning areas are available.) You should be able to hit level 8 almost before even talking to Arias, and be around 9 when you leave White Sands. Keep going and finish Destiny questline by going thru the volcano and killing the Slavemaster. Most classes you should be at level 10 minimum by the time you finish all this (depending on how much of the Volcano mobs you kill.) Good way to judge how you're doing, I usually hit 10 right before I kill Slavemaster, so aim for that milestone.

Switch back to daytime, gather up any quests on the way to the boat, and head for White Sands. You should have at least 9 quests for that area now, do them all except for finding Horensia's necklace.. mobs are a bit higher level there and you need to come back anyways, but it is near where you get the bottles of rum and wine for Ninus, so your call.

Once all the White Sands quests are completed and turned in, you should be around level 13 or so -- maybe 14 depending on how many mobs you had to kill to get quests done. Pick up quests anytime you see them, btw, you'll do them all eventually. Make sure you grab all the quests for Underhalls you can, getting rings off the corpses is one that is missed sometimes since the questgiver is a bit out of the way.

Time for the level 10 Destiny questline. Do that, pretty basic, should be level 15 or so when you're done. Now to hit Underhalls, everything from getting Turach some wine, looting dead corpses of rings, the Hauler's corpse, killing a male and female guard for their heads, getting the key to Raboz's cell (and talking to him after getting it).. the only one not to be too concerned with is killing all 50 Red Hand, you'll get it eventually. Underhalls should net you to level 17 or so.

At this point you can do one of two things. Either hit the Destiny questline, or stay in daytime and head to the Ruins. I usually go Ruins, do the quests there, should have several by now, killing picts (30), getting brother's skull from demonic pict, killing and getting 5 ghouls and their heads, talking to Genzio, and grabbing the fruit near him. Turn those in and you should be about 18.

Now is when I hit the level 15 Destiny, it's fast and nets you about a level, pushing you to 19. DON'T TALK TO VALERIA AT THIS POINT YET!!! Switch back to daytime after finishing the Level 15 Destiny quest, and head back to White Sands to do the other quests, killing the plant, killing Black Ones (if you had grabbed the necklace earlier you can escort Horensia to safety here as well.. saves you a trip back and forth.) The trick here is to quest your way about 1/2 thru 19.

Okay, 1/2 thru 19, switch to nighttime and talk to Valeria to kill Strom. Follow thru this and once you kill Strom you get a blue wep based on your class.. Strom also drops a blue weapon, always had the sword drop not sure if he drops any other blue, and time to head to your homeland.

Now you should have hit 20 at this point. If not, your very very close. Your class wep requires lvl 20, but no worries. At your homeland, talk to the smuggler nearby and head back to Tortage. When it loads, talk to the smuggler nearby again, and head BACK to your homeland. Once there, talk to the smuggler once more to go back to Tortage... yes it makes no sense... wait, that 2nd time, you get over 3k xp for that! Easy xp and should ding you 20 if you didn't already.

From there finish off any Tortage quests if you like, or head off into the world... personally I finish Tortage quests since I hate leaving an area unfinished, but that's just me Plus at that point the Bat Demon quest is easily soloable, and nets you a blue piece of armor to boot.

And that about does it. So quick recap to simplify it, keep in mind grabbing every quest available:

Tortage gate at 5, level to 6, few quests to hit 7.
Destiny from 7-10.
White Sands Isle from 10-13/14
Destiny to 15
Underhalls from 15-17/18
Destiny to 19
White Sands, others to 19 1/2.
End Battle (Destiny) to 20.
Smuggler back and forth to get that easy 3k+ xp.

Level to 20 in about 8h, newer players that aren't familiar with the area and quests, where they are and such, will take a bit longer, but hopefully this will help focus you a bit on where to go and when, rather than running all over trying to figure out where to go and what to do. Happy Hunting!

Yakhmar the easy way

So we've all fought yakhmar, well now you can fight him without the pain of killing his adds.

  • Whoever creates the raid(or maybe just the raid leader) gets the initial aggro from yakhmar's adds(yearlings).

  • There are a few tunnels near the entrance to yak(the small tunnel leading to the large chamber opening), it's possible to jump into these tunnels and the adds can not reach you and stop moving due to pathing issues.

So here's the exploit, simply get the raid leader to jump into the tunnel and none of the adds will be able to reach him and thus will stop moving due to pathing issues. We had every member of our raid beating down yak while the adds just sat around.

The only problem with this is if the raid leader wants any loot he will have to jump out of the tunnel, he will die and the adds will go after the next person on the aggro list, with the amount of adds that spawn(we had over 100 which was actually a good grind spot if you have sub 80's) this would be a problem. As long as the raid leader in the tunnel does not die the adds will not move. Simply loot the gear and wait until everyone exits or path's out.

Also supposedly Yak is bugged and you can repeat him without the timer, we have yet to figure out how to do this part, this could potentially make countless runs very easy.

Keys points:

  • The tunnels are on the right hand side approaching the large chamber, they are hard to see going down to the chamber but much easier to see coming back from the chamber(which would put them on the left hand side)

  • Raid leader must jump into the tunnel(use the slope) and stay in there, do not stand near the opening of the tunnel as yearlings can still use aoe on you(they all use this randomly no matter were they are).

  • Raid leader can sit and look pretty, while the raid group beats down Yak.

Skip the elite boss in the quest "The Darkest Nightmare"

What the title says...

In wild lands of zelata, you get a quest from the outcast camp to kill an elite boss, summoned from a grave near the camp.
So, you've been cutting yourself over not finding a group to do it? Well here's the thing.
You need to only summon the boss using the grave! After that, you can run away from the boss or just die to him, and go claim your blue reward, cash and experience from the questgiver.

Doing this helped me, I hope it helped you t

Age of Conan Trick: Help with the: "Kill 50 Red Hands"

If you pick up this mish (from Idogbe, near the ship/pub), you have to kill 50 Red Hands, the problem is, you have to camp with a load of other players.

But, if you pick up the quest, and then go to Night Time, you get all the mobs to yourself. (I actually got the 50 from the story quest about stealing the medallion from the library).

Once you have the 50, you have to head back to the day to complete the quest. And if you leave the night, you cannot re-enter night till you level up, i.e. 15 and then at 19.

So, it's worth staying in the night to get the 50. It's not high XP, but makes it a lot easier to do.

Power-leveling To 80 guide

First thing to do is go to the link in this post and save the pic to your HD, you will need it often. If you are solo this is going to make you cry, so you will need to be in a guild or group to use this to the fullest extent. Since I am on a PvP server, I will write this from a PvP perspective, if you are on a PvE server, this will be a cakewalk.

The image is a pic of AOC’s level 70-80 adventure area. The general rule of thumb is that a group of six players should be hunting mobs three levels above the highest player, this includes if there is only one high level player and the rest of the group members are app’ed. (Apprenticed) This assumes that you are NOT in a pug and that all six players are of at least “average” skill. At least one healer type is critical to use this; however this is only to have zero downtime.

The Blue circle is your level 70-71 area of mobs. I would avoid this if possible since some of the humanoids have stun, and maybe a knock back or two. This area should only be used if you are a level 70 and have all five members of your group app’ed to 69.

The Red circle is your level 72-74 area of mobs. This is a prime grinding area; there are no mobs with any special abilities, only scorps and hyena’s.

The Green circle is your level 74-76 area of mobs. Not too much food here to hunt and at most should just be used for one level to get your highest group member to 75.

It is important to note current bugs. If you are the highest level character in the group, lets say 75, and you app the five other group members, it is important to tell them of these bugs or your group will be gimped. After you app the members, they MUST recast all buffs, some healers even have had to recast twice just to get the buffs to stick. After a group member attains a new level they MUST drop the app. (DO NOT re-app them before they drop the current app, as it is bugged and will not stick) After they drop the app, and you re-app them, they might still complain that they cannot damage the mobs. This is normal as sometimes it takes five minutes or so for the apps to be recognized by the server. If after five minutes they still cannot damage the mobs have them drop the app again and re-app them.

Now for the sweet AND sour news. First the bad: On a PvP server the four black circles are defended extremely aggressively by guilds that already know of this info. The Black circles are your 78-80 mobs. It does not matter if you are KOS or not, if you attempt to enter one of these zones when there is already a group there, you will be warned and then pk’ed if you do not leave. Even if you grab one of these spots first, and another group comes along, you may still be wiped and told too leave.

What is the big deal? The sweet news? You get between 10,000 and 15,000 exp a MINUTE at these areas. We measured this with me at 76 and the rest of the group app’ed to 75. (Of course they get capped exp for their level anyway) In an eight hour span our level 50’s went up to level 56.(I went from 76 to 78) From level 79 to 80 you need 2.9 million exp, if you have the prime spot,(spot C) you can do this within 3 hours.

The spots:

Best spot is spot C, this has the 78-80’s and in the area they spawn fast enough to do non-stop action. This is normally camped almost 24/7.

Second best is B, this also has 78-80’s, however there are only five “camps” of mobs and you can actually run out of mobs to kill. If this happens you will need to wait 60 – 180 seconds until they start to respawn. (There is a short-cut to get here from spot A)

Third spot is actually kind of a tie; spot D has level 78-80’s. (ALL of the mobs are level 80 way in the back area toward the north) The problem here is that they are spread out, and after one camp of mobs you have to run between 15 and 30 seconds to the next closest camp of mobs. (Most camps are on the main road that runs through the place) Spot A has constant spawns in a VERY small area, (Running from camp to camp takes less then 5 seconds) however they are only level 77-78 with a few 79’s. Since I am 79 the exp in a group of six killing these almost makes me cry. (LOL)

To make this work you must non-stop chain pull.(this is why you need a healer) As the “puller” in my group I fight until the last mob has about 30% of it’s HP, I then run or charge the next group. This is normally not a problem, however if you have any “weak” players it will slow you down, also if you have a “weak” healer you may have a death or two.(“Weak” as in skill not as in level since all are app’ed anyway) Although you can app any level, I do not accept players less then level 50. This is because I do not want a healer lower then 50, as they do NOT get level 70+ heals when they app.

In my opinion this will be changed sometime in the future, leveling from 50 to 80 in a week or two causes serious game issues. Consider this a "use it or lose it" strat as it may be changed.

Edit: We have meausred the exp per minute and the best before the black circles is inside of "East Ruins".(This is marked on your map in game by a green circle.) However this is now also becoming a spot that is getting heavy PvP for control. The reason this area is so good is because of the camps and their short respawn tims. Mobs here are 74-76 and should be hunted by a full group app'ed to 72-73.

AoC Exploits: Kill X mobs quest completion

I am not calling this an exploit, it may be just a bug.

While doing part of the destany quest line under the Temple of Mitra, I had to save 5 citizens.
I killed the first few mobs at the entrance and was able to save two citizens.
I decided to turn right and jump down to the lower level where I saved 1 more citizen.
I couldn't save the last two citizens on the upper tier because the lower area was separated from the upper by a gate.
I decided to hearth and reenter the instance.
After I reentered the instance, I found the initial 2 citizens were reset but the enemy mobs weren't.
I ran up to them, saved them, and completed the quest.

I assume you can do this for other kill X or save X type quests.
Enter instance, kill to first few mobs, leave instance, come back and repeat.

Age of Conan Quest Exploit - Double Rewards

I found this great trick at mmoverload.com I can realy recoment this page as it got tons of tricks tips and cheats, exploits, level guides and the first addons/UI customizations for age of conan I have seen on the net.

Tortage Daytime (multi-player setting)

Quest: Den of No Return
Quest Giver: Laranga (gate guard)

Do this quest in a group. When accepting the quest, you have 2 different quest choices: 1) Go straight to the shack and kill the Boss FleshEater or 2) take a sample to the priest who then sends you to the shack to kill it.

Make sure at least one of your group picks the other option from the others. Then share the quest. Your quest log will now have 2 entries of the same quest.

You'll only have to do the quest once, but when you turn it in, you'll get to pick your reward twice and you'll get double XP.

This is a great way to get 2 great lowbie daggers that give +Dex bonus. Good for dual-wielders.
